Why RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat Backing LGBTQIA+ Rights Makes Us Skeptical

RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat said in an interview that queer people need their own space and has backed their rights.

Advocating for queer rights, he said that people having different sexual orientations is completely biological and not a new concept in India.

Last year, the Supreme Court had said that it will hear petitions to recognise same-sex marriages in India.

But even before the petitions would be heard, The United Hindu Front staged protests outside the court .

The protestors said that marriages and love between same sex goes against Indian culture.

BJP MP Sushil Kumar Modi said that legalising same-sex marriages will cause havoc.

Amid this, when the RSS Chief backs LGBTQIA+ rights, it makes us feel skeptical whether he truly is in support or if he has a hidden agenda.
